On the 12th Feb 2009 Agility Trains was selected as the preferred bidder for the Intercity Express Programme.

However, we expect it will take several months to finalise the contract negotiations. During this period Agility Trains, and its principal suppliers Hitachi and John Laing, are mobilising their project teams and preparing for the contract to start in earnest. Intercity Express is the largest rolling stock contract in UK history - it's an exciting project that will demand a very special team.
